Lofts are the Future!
Downtown Los Angeles is undergoing a revitalization and many of the most decrepit buildings are being gutted and redesigned as loft spaces in some of the notorious sections of town. Once redesigned these lofts will rent for upwards of $2000 monthly - it's totally insane!

HR4437 Immigration Law Protest Photos
Commuting to Santa Monica this weekend, we were caught in snarled traffic due to protestors waving banners, chanting, shouting, blowing air horns and waving American and Mexican flags from the freeway overpasses. Our commute extended by forty minutes as lookie loo drivers slowed to a crawl to view the protestors and read the signs. The jammed traffic allowed for photo opps as we waited! LOL

Commercialism
Has anyone else noticed the decline in commercializing Easter? I know it's still early, but previous years have had major displays in stores of bunnies, candies, decorative outdoor light sets, etc. I haven't seen any and noticed the ads are very subdued. Perhaps as it nears they commercial onslaught will ensue unabated?
