Eye Sore
Driving past in a hurry this is all you see and, while it's not beautifying the community, it's not so terrible.
On closer inspection this is the eye sore you see...graffiti. Defacing the wall once isn't enough, some felt the need to cross out opposing taggers/gangs and repeatedly spray their moniker. It's all so senseless; marking their so-called "territory" like dogs.

Hawaiian Vacation
My sister recently went on a cruise in Hawaii and returned with nice gifts for everyone. I was especially impressed with what she brought my mom. I would never have thought to buy these gifts yet, I know our mother will thoroughly enjoy and use them. Some people have a knack for selecting gifts, mine is a challenge. LOL

Spring...is it really here?
Ah, sunshine, no strong winds or rain, I think spring has arrived. It's wonderful to have temps in the mid-seventies and low eighties. I hope it lasts!
Three good things about today:
~ I haven't been sick like everyone else at the office.
~ The gals have been going gathering for lunch and having many laughs.
~ The days are longer and it's time to walk!

Amen!
As a child, my father and mother would take me to the movies at The State theater, a grand movie house replete with balcony seating and grand architecture. These old single screen theaters can't compete with the multiplexes and no one thinks of urban Los Angeles as a destination. So as part of its redevelopment many old movie houses have been renovated as churches. Once a month the city of Los Angeles conservancy gives paid tours of some of L.A.'s grandest theaters.
